Get in Touch

The right contact depends on who created the record. Use the routes below for Montgomery County custody, police files, warrants, or court dockets. Questions about the private website itself are separate from official record requests.

This is not a government office. We cannot confirm custody, release anyone, obtain an official record, alter a booking file, or answer for Montgomery County agencies.

Website Questions

Use the site contact channel only for broken links, accessibility concerns, or questions about material written on this website. Do not send Social Security numbers, financial details, copies of identity documents, or other sensitive personal data. Official records and corrections must go to the agency that maintains them.

Custody and Booking Records

The Montgomery County Department of Correction and Rehabilitation runs MCDC and MCCF. For a specific location or county correction identification number, contact Inmate Records at 240-777-9730. MCDC is at 1307 Seven Locks Road, Rockville, MD 20854. The DOCR administrative and MPIA route is 22880 Whelan Lane, Boyds, MD 20841, with 240-777-9976 as the main number.

Use the DOCR MPIA page to request a county booking record or photograph. Release is reviewed case by case and is not guaranteed.

Police Reports

The MCPD Records Division handles county police reports and police-held images through GovQA. Call 240-773-5330, Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., or email Records.MCPD@montgomerycountymd.gov. A city arrest report may instead belong to Gaithersburg, Rockville, or Takoma Park police.

Sheriff and Warrants

The Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office is at 50 Maryland Avenue, Rockville, MD 20850. Its main number is 240-777-7000. The Criminal Section line, 240-777-7022, is the contact for its warrant and fugitive functions. The Sheriff does not operate the county jail and should not be called for routine MCDC custody confirmation.

Court Case Records

The Montgomery County Circuit Court Criminal Department is at 50 Maryland Avenue, North Tower, First Floor, Room 1260, Rockville, MD 20850. Call 240-777-9440, generally Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Use Maryland Judiciary Case Search for public online case information, then ask the clerk about complete or certified files.

Before Contacting an Office

Have the full name, approximate arrest date, agency, city, and case or booking number when known. Ask for each record separately. A booking row, police report, photograph, custody status, and court disposition may be maintained by different offices.

Every arrest charge is an accusation. Confirm the outcome through the court before relying on it.
